Booking details:

Adults must register individually to agree to the terms and conditions. One child can be registered with one adult by checking a box. If you are registering more than two children, please contact us to inquire about booking additional children.

Tour Details:

Duration: 5-6 hours
Group Size: Limited not more than 8 people

Pricing:

Adults: $235 per person.

Children (8+ years, over 50 lbs): $195 per child.

• Note: Children between 40-120 lbs require a booster seat per Hawaii State Law (please provide your own). Ensure your child can handle a 5-hour tour and is able to clear their ears during ascent and descent.

• Expert Guide: Led by our astrophotographer and astronomer—a retired paramedic and third-generation Hawaii native.

• Cosmic Exploration: A 60-90 minute telescope tour of the night sky.

• Equipment Provided: Powerful Telescope and assistance with night sky photography using your own smart phone or camera.

• Comfort: Warm jackets, insulated pants, knit hat, gloves and comfortable seating.

• Safety First: Basic medical kit, and satellite communication available.

What to Bring:

• Layered clothing, sweatshirts or jackets, long pants ( thermal UW if available), closed-toe shoes/socks , a hat, sunglasses.

• Camera or cell phone camera

• Snacks or dinner

• Curiosity about Maui and our night sky.

Meeting Location:

81 Ahuwale Pl, Makawao,
Our meeting point is in a quite residential area of Upcountry Maui. Guest parking is provided on the grassy area fronting the property. Please park as directed and be considerate of our neighbors. There are no shops or restaurants or restrooms within walking distance. The first restroom is 50 min after departure.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before departure.

Allow an extra 15-20 min travel time as it is rush hour. We must depart promptly to secure limited parking at the summit. Late arrivals who miss the scheduled departure time are considered no show and are not elidable for a refund.

Departure October though March 3:50 pm. Up to 4:30pm in summer
Return between 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm : varies due to time of the year.

Weather Policy:

Clouds and rain can affect stargazing conditions. If we need to cancel due to weather, you'll receive a full refund or the option to re-book. I will update you via text on the weather conditions before 2pm.

Health and High Altitude Safety:

This tour travels to elevations of 10,000 feet where reduced oxygen and cold temperatures may aggravate medical conditions.

Guests with heart or lung conditions, breathing difficulties, pregnancy, recent scuba diving or other significant health issues should consult their physician before booking.

For everyone’s safety, Amazing Maui Stars may decline participation when observable symptoms or circumstances present a significant safety concern that can not be reasonably accommodated. Each situation will be assessed individually .

Gests who are ill should contact us at least 3 hours before departure to receive a full refund. Guests declined participations for safety reasons will also receive a full refund.
